October 28, 2026 – Fiskskaldjur
Ready-to-eat salmon makes brunch easy. Which type should you use? Read cold-smoked or hot-smoked salmon. Here are five ideas.
1. Scrambled eggs with cold-smoked salmon
Scramble eggs gently in butter, take them off the heat while still creamy and top with ribbons of cold-smoked salmon, chives and pepper.
2. Rösti with gravlax
A Swiss favourite meets a Swedish one: serve crisp potato rösti with slices of gravlax, a spoon of crème fraîche and dill.
3. Blini with smoked salmon
Small warm pancakes with crème fraîche, salmon, dill and lemon. A spoon of roe makes it a party.
4. Warm salad with hot-smoked salmon
Flake warm-smoked salmon over boiled new potatoes, salad leaves and a horseradish cream.
5. Open sandwiches
