I grew up in Gothenburg, where fish and seafood are part of everyday life and culture. My understanding of the trade was shaped early in our family business, not only serving customers in the market hall, but also working behind the scenes during the busiest holiday seasons. From chopping herring for traditional preparations to standing in the dish room, I learned respect for the entire craft.

Those years taught me that quality comes first. Today in Zollikon, I choose products with care and only sell what I would proudly serve at home. For me, this business is about flavour, trust, and long-term relationships built across the counter.

Anna Hamilton

Born and raised in Zürich, I have a strong understanding of the area and the expectations that come with running a trusted local shop. Growing up here has shaped my sense of responsibility, knowing that quality, consistency, and reliability are essential.

At Fiskskaldjur, I carry the daily responsibility for ensuring that everything meets our standards, from freshness and presentation to the overall experience for our customers in Zürich. I value long-term relationships built on trust and transparency. With Swedish roots through both my mother and father, I also share the tradition and respect for seafood that defines our heritage, combining local presence with Scandinavian quality.

I was raised in Gothenburg where seafood carries tradition and meaning. Working in our family’s business from a young age gave me an early appreciation for both the product and the people behind it. Standing in the market hall, meeting customers from different backgrounds, I learned how food connects cultures and creates community.

That perspective still guides me today. I believe quality must be experienced on the plate, not only promised at the counter. Seafood is more than an ingredient, it carries memories, identity, and pride, and that responsibility is something I take seriously every day.
